Thank you!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We'll have a post about ours in a few days. But I just wanted to thank everyone for the well-wishes on my birthday. And an extra special thank you to Rino who went above and beyond to make it a special day. So, that said, I've had a few insights on being 30....
Thoughts on being 30
1. It's bummer when you go to the gym on your birthday, and the smart-ass machine ask you your age. There's a moment when you contemplate lying. Somehow I worry the machine would know.
2. When you're 30 you're actually earning enough money to celebrate properly. No more elaborate-budget-stretching-dinners at Chili's or McD's.
3. And you can afford a decent bottle of wine. It's pleasant to move away from the land of cheap drinks and bad hang-overs.
4. When you're 30 you can wear REAL jewelry! There's something a bit strange about a 21-year-old decked out in jewels, unless she's going to the Oscars. Now, no one questions it. Bring on the bling!
5. A night OUT used to be the best way to spend the evening. A night IN is now much more preferable.
6. If it's a really good night, I might even stay awake through the movie.
7. I still get pimples. Seriously, shouldn't I have grown out of this by now?
8. You're not too old to still ask your parents for advice.
9. But you're old enough to decide if you want to take it.
10. When I was 20 i thought I knew everything. Now that I'm 30, I realize how little I know.
